Sales Manager, Infrastructure & Communication

As a Sales Manager for the Infrastructure & Communications product portfolio, you will work across multiple sectors, including the traditional maritime market, surveillance, security and defence, while also driving opportunities in new and emerging domains.  

We are looking for candidates with a background in telecom, defence, or robotics, combined with solid knowledge of communication technology, radar, maritime surveillance, counter-UAS, or related fields

In this role, you will leverage your expertise to deliver the most operationally effective solutions for customer applications. You will be responsible for managing customer accounts, developing new business opportunities, and achieving defined sales targets. 

 

What you will be doing  

  • Drive sales of communication systems such as mobile broadband radio and new developments. 
  • Promote infrastructure solutions such as AIS and radar detection sensors for terrestrial and space-based applications. 
  • Lead sales of drone detection radar systems for both civilian and military use. 
  • Represent KONGSBERG at industry conferences and exhibitions. 
  • Meet and follow up with customers and integrators. 
  • Prepare quotations and manage contract negotiations. 
  • Achieve sales targets for defined markets and regions. 
  • Travel internationally as required. 

 

We think you should have  

  • Technical education or proven technical knowledge in relevant fields (e.g., BSc in IT, Automation, Cybernetics, Robotics or similar). 
  • Ideally 3–5+ years of operational experience in relevant industries. 
  • Experience and demonstrated success in solution-based sales and negotiations. 
  • Self-driven, proactive and solution-oriented mindset. 
  • Awareness of relevant industries, markets and competitors.
