Service Manager AES

KM Turkey AES Department is a part of the Global Customer Support regional operation. Kongsberg Maritime GCS deliver customer support activities to vessel owners on location and area around Turkey market. AES EMEA (Europe, middle east and Africa) supports the regional market and have locations strategically across the region to support locally and regionally with the required competence for the respective markets.     

We are now looking for a Service Manager AES to lead and build up our local initiative with AES product support and competence for a temporary period of 1-2 years (details to be decided upon), as of which mentoring of local employees according to AES processes, competence development and networking will be key for a successful operation. During the term, appointment of the role will report to the VP AES EMEA, and be part of the regional management team of AES EMEA.  

 

Overall Tasks & responsibilities

The Service Manager AES Turkey carries out all managing tasks within the AES Service Delivery operations regarding people management and local implementation of strategy and initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities  

  • Manage and organize the AES field service department’s daily operation in Turkey
  • Establish relevant GCS KPI’s and drive activities to meet set targets
  • Ensure that work is performed in accordance with the Kongsberg Maritime Quality Management System (QMS/HSE/Security).    
  • Ensure that business strategies are supported by GCS objectives and activities
  • Manage development and implementation of resource plans, strategies and budgets
  • Manage maintenance and development of tools, routines, processes and procedures to ensure best possible information flow
  • Responsible for the 24-hour reach of KM Turkey for internal and external customers
  • You will be actively engaged with local customers / Yards etc. to promote and to strengthen partnerships
  • Networking with the global operation of GCS and maintaining strong bonds with the local, regional and global operation managers is imperative
  • Knowledge and understanding of both GCS overall and department goals. Contribute to the fulfilment of these goals
  • Be a part of the support operation and ensure that all communication and customer requests are given the right attention/priority and response
  • Proactively follow up on all inquiries to ensure continuous progress and proper action towards customers
  • Participate in improving GCS AES operation, as required
  • Responsibility for the operational budget for the department, as required
  • Perform annual appraisal interview with all department personnel
  • Execute department leadership according to KM Employee Manual and BMS (QMS/HSE/Security)

  

Skills and Requirements

Education / experience: 

  • Engineer (BSc/MSc) or relevant technical education/experience and desire for career development
  • Internal candidates with the right experience (AE&S) and personal drive will be highly regarded
  • Fluent written and spoken English language.
  • Experience and knowledge of Kongsberg Maritime’s products. And specific products relevant for Automation, Energy and integrated systems (AE&S)
  • Good knowledge regarding various classification requirements.
