Our Global Customer Support division is responsible for Kongsberg Maritimes services, upgrades and support in the aftermarket. Our 3400 employees are present in 35 different countries around the world. During the operational lifetime of more than 30.000 installations, we ensure cost-efficient delivery of services, upgrades and spare parts in order to secure availability and predictability to our customers.
We have an exciting opportunity for Sr. DevOps Engineer with Kongsberg Maritime India. We are looking for software professionals who can join our team and work closely with team leads and peer developers/testers on different projects.
Qualifications and Experience
• 10+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Operations, SRE, or similar technical roles.
• Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure and experience with AWS or hybrid cloud environments.
• Deep proficiency with Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates, and Helm for IaC and service deployment.
• Practical experience with Kubernetes, AKS, containerization, and Helm charts.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD systems such as Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability frameworks (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor).
• Solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and identity management (Entra ID, SSO, OAuth2, etc.).
• Familiarity with SRE practices (SLAs, SLOs, Error Budgets) is an advantage.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
• Experience working in agile, cross-functional, and distributed teams.

Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud and edge deployments using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and similar platforms.
• Develop and manage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform, Bicep, Helm, and related tooling.
• Ensure high availability, performance, and security across Azure, AWS, and hybrid environments.
• Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and observability for edge-to-cloud services (Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, etc.).
• Lead or contribute to incident response, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis (RCA) for platform issues.
• Continuously improve platform reliability, automation, and operational resilience.
• Embed DevSecOps practices into pipelines, integrating tools like SonarCloud, Mend, and Invicti.
• Apply cloud security best practices including identity, access control, and hardened configurations.
• Drive cloud cost optimization through rightsizing, auto-scaling, and resource governance.
• Support multi-tenant, multi-environment strategies across staging, pre-production, and production.
• Work closely with Development, QA, Product, Platform, and SRE functions to ensure smooth delivery-to-operations handover.
• Contribute to standards, best practices, and technical governance for cloud and edge deployments.
