In this role, you will play a crucial part in developing secure cutting-edge marine robotics that will redefine the future.
About us: You will be part of our Uncrewed Platforms division, dedicated to designing, creating, and building autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs) and uncrewed surface vessels (USVs). Our advanced vehicles can explore depths of up to six thousand meters and operate independently for extended periods, collecting vital data about the seafloor, water conditions, and underwater objects. We specialize in integrating sophisticated sensors for data collection, maritime navigation, and communication.
Your role: As a Specialist Cyber Security Systems Engineer, you will have the primary goal of ensuring that Cyber Security principles are fully incorporated into our solutions across the Uncrewed Platforms product range covering both USV's and AUV's.
You will contribute to driving activities ensuring the security and cyber-resilience of our autonomous maritime systems and that relevant cyber-security principles, practices, and technologies are utilized throughout our products lifecycles. The role will involve being deeply integrated into all aspects of solutions development from specification and design through to development, delivery, and operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Design and guide implementation of cybersecurity solutions for uncrewed platforms.
- Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses to identify potential security threats.
- Develop and maintain product security policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Collaborate with R&D teams to integrate security measures into the design and development of uncrewed platforms.
- Define processes for handling product security incidents and breaches.
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant cybersecurity standards and regulations, including the Cyber Resilience Act.
- Provide training and guidance to team members on cybersecurity best practices.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in cyber security, computer science, or a related field.
- Proven experience in cyber security engineering, preferably in the context of uncrewed or autonomous systems.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.
- Experience with risk assessment, vulnerability analysis, and incident response.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and regulations, including the Cyber Resilience Act.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
