Kongsberg Discovery

Software Test Engineer

In KONGSBERG Discovery Uncrewed Platform we design, create, build and test autonomous underwater vehicles and autonomous uncrewed surface vessels, which can explore from the sea surface down to six thousand meters below. Our vehicles can operate alone for days and weeks at a time, gathering information about the seafloor, the water, and objects in the water. We create and integrate advanced sensors for information gathering, maritime navigation, and communication.

With the aim to increase the quality of the products we deliver, and also to improve the the entire development process, we are looking to expand our Software Test Team with a Test Engineer.

The Software Test Team is under the Software R&D Group and as such a part of the responsibility for the whole stack, ranging from sensor integration and vessel control and autonomy to mission planning, control, and monitoring, as well as acquisition, visualization, and analysis of recorded data. We make complex products where all parts must work together in a robust way that ensures that our customers can trust that they get the performance they need and expect. To meet these requirements, while also keeping up the speed of development of new features, an increase in test activities and effort is being prioritized.
