Lead Engineer, Product and Development - Offshore Production Systems

An exciting opportunity has arisen as Lead Engineer in Product and Development for Offshore Production Systems. In this role, you will be a part of the Product and Development Team delivering new concepts for operation to the Offshore Production Market. One of the important elements in the next generation operator environment is the new Kongsberg Maritime Control System (KCS) and its features. In this role you will be responsible for further development of KCS solutions, strategy, and business opportunities.

You will be joining our team of experienced and diverse engineers where our goal is to secure the best solutions for the future by sharing knowledge, discussing and collaborating across divisions. This is a great opportunity for an individual that is motivated to use their knowledge and strength within automation, control systems and energy installations to bring success to our project deliveries for our customers.

Key accountabilities

• Develop Control System solutions with KCS
• Develop business opportunities by capturing and realizing customer needs
• Explore, test- and present new solutions to customers
• Support development of Offshore Production Systems strategy and roadmap
• Prepare bid and quotations together with sales
• Support delivery projects in first-off installations

Qualifications and experience

• Educated from technical or maritime university, Bachelor of Science or similar
• Multiple years of experience may compensate for the lack of formal education
• Participation in delivery projects of Oil & Gas (Energy) installations
• Knowledge of Process Automation and Control; how to operate, and assemble software and hardware, and Automation Development
• Knowledge in how the operators of a Process Control System work (offshore and remote)
