Sales Support Engineer – Merchant, Handling

An exciting opportunity awaits you as Sales Support Engineer in our Propulsion and Handling division at Kongsberg Maritime. In this role, you will be a part of the Sales Support team in Merchant Handling business, delivering support to our external and internal customers worldwide during sales projects. The core task of our team is to understand customer requirements and expectations and turn them into solid technical and commercial proposals supporting the sales of anchoring, mooring & towing solutions.

We are looking for proactive, structured and cooperative person to support key stakeholders in smooth execution of sales processes. You will be working closely with the Product Management, Delivery organization, Supply Chain and our Global Sales to deliver and promote technically robust solutions to our external and internal customers worldwide.

Key accountabilities

• Sales Process Support: Act as a main contact point between Sales and Product teams.
• Technical & Product Support: Evaluate and propose selection of suitable winch configurations to fulfill customer requirements.
• Offer Management: Support Sales Managers with costing, pricing and sales documentation.
• Sales Tools Coordination: Assist with product sales tool cost and content updates.
• Process Improvement: Improve internal processes and tools between Engineering, Sales Support and Sales.

Qualifications and experience

• Minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering in a relevant field is preferred. Other fields of education or relevant experience can compensate for preferred education.
• Proactive and customer focused mindset.
• Understanding of mechanical or electrical engineering can be seen as an advantage.
• Fluent spoken and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
