Team Manager - HW Engineering

We are seeking a Team Manager for our department HW Engineering within Bridge & Remote Systems. Our dynamic team provides hardware engineering services for Dynamic Positioning (DP), K-Chief automation system, Thruster control, K-Master and more, to support all divisions in Kongsberg Maritime. Our highly skilled personnel thrive in a fast-paced, hectic environment, where every day is a new and exciting challenge. 

What you will do:

• Manage your own team, including personnel, improvements, budgeting, financial statements, planning and strategy.
• Develop and refine routines and processes to ensure capability, capacity, and competence within the team.
• Collaborate with the management team, support partners in the KM project network, and collaborate globally across departments.
• Support your manager with strategic planning, long‑term initiatives, and a variety of operational tasks.

Who you are:

• Motivated to learn and develop within the leadership field.
• Passionate about developing people and helping them perform at their best.
• Holding a bachelor's or master’s degree in engineering, or other relevant field, is an advantage.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English and Norwegian.
• Strong focus on fulfilling customer needs and delivering top-notch service.
• Positive attitude and solution oriented, ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to details and strong organizational skills.
• Able to think clearly under pressure, self-motivated, and an effective communicator.

Previous leadership experience is not required.

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
