Senior Investigation Specialist – Corporate Compliance

Corporate Compliance is responsible for developing and managing KONGSBERG’s framework for ethics and compliance, including our Code of Conduct and related governing documents. The function plays a key role in ensuring that the Group operates in accordance with applicable regulations and our own high standards of integrity and accountability.

As a Senior Investigation Specialist, you will be part of a specialized professional environment responsible for receiving, assessing, and handling whistleblowing cases, as well as conducting thorough internal investigations. You will work closely with Legal, HR, Compliance, and other key functions, and gain a unique opportunity to build relationships with key decision-makers and develop in-depth insight into the Group’s operations, value chains, and processes.

The position reports to the VP Speak Up Management. Some travel should be expected.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and conduct internal investigations of whistleblowing cases in Norway and internationally – from planning to reporting
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant laws and regulations
  • Prepare reports and present findings to stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of methods and processes for handling whistleblowing cases
  • Work closely with Legal, Compliance, HR, and other relevant functions
  • Analyse trends and risk patterns to identify areas for improvement
  • Support training and awareness initiatives related to ethics and compliance across the organisation

Qualifications

  • Relevant higher education in law, finance, or related field. Candidates with other relevant investigation or enforcement experience are also encouraged to apply
  • 5 years of experience in investigations, case handling, or compliance work, preferably from law enforcement/prosecution authorities, law firms, advisory environments, or similar organisations
  • Experience with interview techniques and conducting investigations as part of investigative processes
  • Solid understanding of relevant legislation and regulatory frameworks
  • Experience using technological tools in investigations and analysis
  • Excellent communication skills in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters with a high degree of integrity, discretion, and professionalism
  • Leadership experience or the ability to motivate and develop others is an advantage
