Kongsberg Discovery

Process Manager

An incredible opportunity awaits you as Process Manager. In this role, you will become part of an experienced and collaborative QHSE team based in Horten, working across global operations. We work closely with management and operational units to ensure high standards, continuous improvement, and compliance throughout the organization. Our culture is open, supportive, and improvement‑driven, with a strong focus on teamwork, knowledge sharing, and practical, value‑adding solutions.

The Process Manager oversees the governance and continuous improvement of Kongsberg Discovery’s Business Management System (BMS) and its processes. This role ensures that processes are well-documented, efficient, and compliant with company standards and quality requirements. Acting on behalf of Process Owners facilitates process governance forums and drives initiatives to keep processes aligned with organizational needs.

The Process Manager will report to the Global Quality Manager in KD and will work alongside Process Owners. This role is focused on Kongsberg Discovery’s needs but will involve significant interaction with the broader New KONGSBERG organization.

What you will be doing

  • Coordinate the organization’s process governance framework, including organizing Process Forum meetings (agendas, minutes) and ensuring follow-up of decisions and actions
  • Maintain and update process documentation in the BMS, ensuring all procedures, and work instructions are current, accurate, and accessible to employees – following work and process responsible groups
  • Identify and implement process improvements in collaboration with Process Owners; plan and oversee the roll-out of approved changes, including communication and training for affected teams
  • Ensure business processes comply with internal policies and external standards (e.g. ISO 9001); support audit preparations and implement corrective actions to maintain compliance and readiness for certifications
  • Work closely with all Business Units (and with corporate level counterparts as needed) to ensure processes are aligned, monitored (KPIs), and best practices are shared across the organization

We think you should have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g. Engineering, Business Management, Quality Management); a Master’s degree is an advantage
  • Several years’ experience in process management, quality management, or continuous improvement roles (preferably in a technical or industrial organization), including experience with Management Systems and quality standards such as ISO 9001
  • Proven ability to coordinate and implement process changes and improvements; experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) and project/change management
  • Proficiency with process documentation and collaboration tools, such as process modelling software and digital collaboration platforms (e.g. SharePoint, Microsoft Teams)
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and Norwegian - written and spoken.

This employment may require a pre-employment check procedure in accordance with company security standards, role or site requirements. Please note that this might affect the offer process or employment.
