In the Seatex division, we develop world leading products for accurate positioning, radar, radio communication systems, motion measurement, satellite payloads and situational awareness for ocean space applications. Our office is located at Pirsenteret in Trondheim where we have exceptional facilities for product development with GNSS, RF/Microwave labs, EMC test lab, high-end instruments and a strong professional group of coworkers that welcomes you.

The Software Engineer OS/Linux will be responsible for operating systems on all Seatex product platforms. The OSes must be up to date, secure, and have the required functionality for the wide range of Seatex products. The OSes are used on both embedded platforms and desktops, and many applications have real-time requirements.

What you will be doing

• Maintaining (Linux) operating systems for all Seatex platforms (x86 and ARM mostly)
• Maintaining and developing drivers and other OS-near components
• Become/remain an OS/Linux expert.
• Identifying and implementing OS improvements
• Cyber Security in OS
• SW development

We think you should have

• a passionate interest in Linux
• experience with Linux for embedded and real-time applications
• experience with embedded and/or desktop programming
• experience with C/C++
