Dynamic Positioning Project Engineer

We are now looking for a Project Engineer to join our DP Application team and help deliver innovative solutions that drive the maritime industry forward.
As a Project Engineer, you will work at the intersection of advanced software engineering and real-world maritime operations. Your role will combine office-based software tasks with on-site commissioning on board vessels across the globe. This position offers a unique opportunity to see your work in action and make a tangible impact on sustainable energy and marine operations.
What is Dynamic Positioning?
A Dynamic Positioning (DP) system is an advanced control system that automatically maintain a vessel’s position and heading using its own thrusters and propellers. This technology is critical for offshore operations where mooring or anchoring is impractical or not feasible.
Key Responsibilities
- Commission DP software systems worldwide (approx. 100 travel days per year)
- Perform software engineering and integration tasks in the office
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybernetics, Control Engineering, Marine Technology, Electronics, Instrumentation, Computer Science, or related fields
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
- Knowledge of C/C++ programming is an advantage
