Director Organization Development & People Projects
We are looking for an experienced and strategic Director Organization Development & People Projects to join our Corporate People function. This is a senior role for someone who combines strong business understanding with deep expertise in people, organizational development and transformation
As Director Organization Development & People Projects, you will play a key role in developing future-fit organizations across the company. You will lead complex and business-critical People, organizational, and transformation initiatives across countries, companies, and functions. The role reports to the Senior Vice President HSE & Organization Development and works closely with executive management, People, IT, and other corporate functions.
The position is primarily based in Kongsberg and is part of the Corporate People & Organization. We offer flexible working arrangements, including the possibility of working part-time from our offices in Oslo, Asker, Horten, Trondheim, Moss, or Fredrikstad.
The role involves domestic and international travel, related to project execution, organizational development, acquisitions and integrations, and collaboration across the company’s businesses and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
This is a senior role with significant strategic reach. The final responsibilities will be shaped by the selected candidate’s profile, strengths, and experience. Key areas may include organizational development, transformation, integration, digitalization, governance, and strategic People initiatives across the company.
- Lead complex People and organizational development projects across the company
- Drive transformation initiatives that support growth, scalability, and business performance
- Lead selected People digitalization and process improvement initiatives
- Participate in mergers, acquisitions, and integration activities, with a focus on organizational and People-related implications
- Plan and lead major organizational restructuring and organization development projects
- Develop and improve governance structures, operating models, and ways of working
- Ensure effective project governance, progress tracking, risk management, and value realization
- Drive change management initiatives and support leaders through significant transformation efforts
- Collaborate with union representatives and international stakeholders in a complex matrix organization
Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced project and transformation leader with a proven track record from large, complex organizations.
You have:
- Relevant higher education
- Leadership experience from larger commercial organizations
- Experience leading projects in international companies and matrix organizations
- Experience from a similar role with responsibility for major People, organizational, or transformation projects
- Experience in organizational development, change management, and restructuring initiatives
- Experience developing and implementing operating models, organizational designs, and governance structures
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align People strategy with business objectives and value creation
Competencies
- Excellent communication skills in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken
- Solid expertise in employment law & labour relations
- Experience managing complex stakeholder environments and cross-functional initiatives
- Strong understanding of People technology, digitalization, and organizational development
- Norwegian security clearance at SECRET level, or eligibility to obtain such clearance

Security Clearance: The position requires security clearance at SECRET level. Candidates must be eligible for authorization and security clearance in accordance with applicable regulations.
