Communications and Branding Specialist

We are looking to hire an enthusiastic and social media savvy Communications and Branding Specialist in Kongsberg Maritime, Finland to shape our local internal and external communications and support in employer branding activities. As this role is brand new, we wish you to have the vision, expertise, and motivation to further strengthen our company’s brand in Finland. We are looking for a dedicated team player with creative mindset to work closely with the central communication team of Kongsberg Maritime, business leaders, and the HR team. You will report to HR Country Manager.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing a strategic communication plan and activities. You will support and collaborate with different external stakeholders such as media, educational institutions, and non-profit organizations. Your role would be to create and run campaigns, draft content, organize and/or participate in internal and external events. As our Communications and Branding Specialist, you will also take part in developing internal communication guidelines and tools and ensure that stories from Finland also reach colleagues in the global company we are part of.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective external and internal communication plans and activities
• Develop and deliver communication campaigns
• Support in employer branding activities
• Content creation for internal and external channels
• Collaborate actively with stakeholders internally and externally in Finland, and globally across the company

Qualifications

• A minimum of bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Previous experience from developing communication plans and supporting public relations in, or for an international organization
• Preferably project management skills
• Fluent verbal and written communication skills in Finnish and English
• Experience with the most common IT-tools for publishing and photo editing
