Manager, Project Controlling

At Kongsberg Maritime, we are shaping the future of maritime technology. Our solutions help vessels operate safer, smarter, and more sustainably. To support our growing project portfolio, we are now looking for a people- and business-oriented Manager, Project Controlling.

In this role, you will lead and develop a team of Project Controllers supporting customer delivery and R&D projects across the division. You will play an important role in strengthening financial follow-up in projects while contributing to improvements in processes, systems, and ways of working.

You will be part of a highly skilled finance environment in a global project delivery organization, working closely with project managers and leadership to support successful project execution.

Your responsibilities

Lead and develop the Project Controlling team

• You will have personnel responsibility for a team of Project Controllers supporting projects across the division. Developing the team, ensuring strong collaboration with project managers, and strengthening financial awareness in projects will be key parts of the role.

Ensure strong financial follow-up of projects

• Support project execution through forecasting, cost control and financial reporting.

Improve processes and tools

• Work closely with Project Execution Excellence to improve and harmonize project controlling processes, systems, and tools.

Support business decisions

• Contribute to financial follow-up of the division, including business cases, investments, and initiatives related to capital efficiency and cash flow.

Provide financial insights

• Participate in financial reporting and provide insights that support management decisions.

You will also be an active member of the Project Execution Excellence management team, contributing to development of controlling, controlling, planning, management and governance.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or similar
• Around 3+ years of experience from audit, accounting, controlling, or similar financial roles
• Interest in project-driven organizations and project economics
• Experience with leadership or a strong motivation for developing people
• Interest in systems, ERP solutions, and analytical tools
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
