Technical Product and Sales Engineer

We are seeking a collaborative and technically strong Technical Product and Sales Engineer to join our Deck Machinery team. The team develops, delivers, and maintains complex winch and handling systems for offshore and special purpose vessels. In this role, you will contribute to developing technical solutions and provide sales support during tender processes, working closely with a highly skilled, multidisciplinary team. 

This position is part of the Offshore & Special Purpose business area, which owns, develops, and delivers world-class handling solutions with a strong focus on system integration and operational efficiency for our customers. The role will primarily focus on handling equipment for Subsea and Special Purpose vessels. The business area is responsible for product and technology development, supply chain operations, and project delivery for all Kongsberg Maritime winch and handling solutions.

Key accountabilities
• Provide technical sales support and assistance to sales and product teams
• Participate in tender processes, including evaluation of technical requirements, customer needs, specifications, documentation, and cost calculations
• Prepare and maintain sales and marketing documentation
• Follow up on delivery precision and cost data from recent projects to ensure accurate and updated input to sales activities
• Take on technical project lead responsibilities in customer deliveries when required
• Actively contribute to the team both professionally and socially
• Demonstrate ambition to develop towards technical leadership roles over time 

Qualifications and experience
• Degree in engineering
• Strong communication skills in both Norwegian and English, written and verbal
• Experience with system integration
• Experience from project execution and customer interaction
• Practical experience from the maritime industry or offshore marine operations is an advantage
