Customer Service Engineer (KMSIN AUG 2018)

The incumbent will report under KDI Customer Service Department. He/She will liaise between main office and customers from South-East Asia, Oceania and other part of the world on all aspects of pre-commissioning/commissioning, maintenance and operation of Kongsberg’s Simulation product range.

  

Responsibilities  

  • Focus on customer support, commissioning and service on assigned Kongsberg Maritime Simulation product range
  • Maintain good relationship with existing clients
  • Workshop test and technical preparations
  • Proper preparation and execution of work assigned
  • Responsible for generation of service reports, update drawings, cable information database and others
  • Ensure performance are met at all times
  • Assist our sales department with technical issues
  • Liaison between customers and main office on all aspects of support and operation of the systems
  • Responsible for troubleshooting and maintenance of the Bridge and Offshore simulator and other technical equipment used at KM Singapore Training Centre
  • Act as project engineer and site manager in simulation projects
  • Assist Sales Manager Simulation for product demonstration and sales support
  • Required to undertake ad-hoc duties which may be assigned from time to time

 

 Requirements 

  • Min. Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Master Mariner/ Navy Mariner with technical capabilities. 
  • At least 3 years’ experience in customer service and/ or 1 year in related field
  • Preferably with relevant working experience in maritime industry with background in navigation systems
  • Knowledge on managing ITsystems
  • Experience in distributed principles like Client/Server, (Azure) Cloud and LAN communication
  • Possesses software and hardware expertise with a touch of sales potential
  • Must have excellent co-operative skills, good communication skills, result-oriented and self-motivated
  • Outgoing service minded and customer focused
  • Enjoys troubleshooting both hardware and software
