In your role as Technical Support Engineer no two days are the same. In your daily work, you provide technical support and assistance to customers and colleagues all around the world. The issues faced with often take place in live conditions, where you may, for example, assist with technical guidance directly to sailing vessels with operational disruptions. The issues often concern questions of mechanical and hydraulic nature, or even regarding control systems. In your role you may also conduct investigations of various technical matters in order to improve both products and support processes. For this position, traveling occurs every now and then. The destinations can be almost anywhere in the world, and we hope you find this exiting.
As Technical Support Engineer at Kongsberg, you become part of the division Global Customer Support who is responsible for Kongsberg Maritime services, upgrades and support in the aftermarket. On your journey to shape the maritime future you will have 2300 Global Customer Support colleagues present in 35 different countries around the world with different backgrounds and languages. Previous experience working in the maritime industry as well as some sort of commercial background is advantageous. To excel in this role, you like teamwork, but also running your own project and processes with a determined mind-set. Your level of communication is high, and you benefit from your social skills in your everyday work.
