System Test Engineer

We supply a wide range of ocean monitoring sensor systems and the corresponding digital solutions. Our newest digital cloud-based product, Blue Insight, bridges the gap between world class sensors and world class scientists.
Our Blue Insight, EK80, ME70/MS70 systems create value for our customers through software deployed to USV, AUV, Offshore Fish Farms, Research Vessels, and Cloud. We strive for the high level of automation required in a world that is increasingly autonomous. Our customers can use automatic deployment of Machine Learning algorithms to edge devices to improve operational efficiency.
What you will be doing
We are looking for a System Test Engineer with a passion for quality and reliability to help us validate and verify our sensors and cloud-based solutions for autonomous marine operations.
About the Role
As a System Test Engineer, you will be part of a cross-functional team developing and maintaining hardware and software platforms that span from sensors and embedded edge devices on vessels to scalable cloud services. Your work will ensure that our systems meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and security across diverse operating environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated and manual tests for sensors and cloud software platforms.
- Develop test frameworks and pipelines for continuous integration and deployment E2E (CI/CD).
- Collaborate with other testers, developers, DevOps engineers, and product managers to define testable requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Analyze test results, identify root causes, and drive resolution of issues across teams.
- Contribute to test documentation, traceability, and compliance with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in System testing
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell, Playwright).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Experience with one or more of these concepts: Distributed systems, container technologies, cloud-native applications, hardware testing and edge computing platforms.
- Good proficiency in English, written and oral
Preferred Skills
- Experience with maritime, offshore, or industrial domains.
- Knowledge of networking, security, and data integrity.
- Preferrable with certifications within ISTQB or similar test methodologies

- Detail-oriented and structured with a strong analytical mindset.
- Curious and proactive in exploring new technologies and testing methodologies.
- Comfortable working in agile teams and communicating across disciplines.
