Senior Engineer – Advanced Maneuvering

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain software for advanced manoeuvring systems.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, high-quality solutions.
• Contribute to software releases and ensure smooth deployment processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Linux-based environments and networked systems.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in cybernetics or similar. Extensive relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
• Proficient in C++
• Experience with Linux scripting, and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps
• Knowledge of networking concepts, protocols such as DDS and MQTT, and security best practices is a plus.
• Experience with maritime or industrial automation systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in teams
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and preferably in Norwegian

This employment may require security clearance by the Norwegian National Security Authority, clearance through Civil Aviation Authority or a background check.
