Project Manager

Join Kongsberg Maritime in the role of Project Manager, where you’ll lead the delivery of complex and high‑profile naval defence projects. As a Project Manager, you’ll take full ownership from initiation of a project through to completion, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure every project meets its cost, schedule and quality commitments.

What you will be doing

  • Plan and manage projects from initiation through to closure
  • Support to define project scope, objectives, schedules and budgets
  • Monitor time, cost and quality performance to ensure alignment with contractual obligations
  • Maintain current project documentation and generate progress reports as required
  • Serve as the primary interface between KM and external customers
  • Engage cross-functional teams across the business to satisfy project outcomes
  • Identify and manage project risks and opportunities, escalating in a timely manner when appropriate
  • Responsible for project invoicing, cash flow tracking and commercial/contractual compliance
  • Adhere to KM management systems e.g. HS&E
  • Maintain clear and effective written and verbal communication
  • Able to settle financial disputes up to the value of £10,000 without prior approval
  • Ensure compliance with export and security obligations for projects.

We think you should have

  • Degree level qualification or equivalent in project management / technical discipline, supplemented by experience in a similar role and / or environment.  Project Management accreditation would be highly advantageous i.e. APMP.
  • Considerable experience in the management of projects of increasing complexity and experience within the marine sector would be beneficial.
  • Valid EU Passport or other current permission to work in the UK
