Senior Software Engineer
To meet an exciting, sustainable, and expanding future, we are seeking Senior Software Engineers for our software engineering teams. With us, you will contribute to the development of new and exciting marine robotics for the future.
You will be part of the Uncrewed Platforms division, who design, create, and build autonomous underwater vehicles and autonomous uncrewed surface vessels, which can explore from the sea surface down to six thousand meters below. Our vehicles can operate alone for days and weeks at a time, gathering information about the seafloor, the water, and objects in the water. We create and integrate advanced sensors for information gathering, maritime navigation, and communication.
The Uncrewed Platforms software group is responsible for the whole stack, ranging from sensor integration and vessel control and autonomy to mission planning, control, and monitoring, as well as acquisition, visualization, and analysis of recorded data.
Your role:
- Design, implement, and maintain software for controlling and coordinating autonomous vehicles and vessels.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop robust, scalable software solutions.
- Follow projects from initial concepts to market-ready products.

Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in cybernetics, computer engineering, computer science, or similar. (Experience can compensate for a degree.)
- Significant experience in C++ programming. (Knowledge of modern C++ is beneficial.)
- Proven track record in designing and developing complex software systems.
- Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and expertise.
- Experience in one or more of the following areas is favorable:
- Control theory
- Inertial navigation systems
- Low-level drivers
- Motion planning and control
- Networking applications
- Real-time programming
- Sensor fusion
- Situational awareness
- Software architecture and design
- User experience and interface concepts
- Windows or Linux operating systems
