Senior Manager – Voyage and Passage Systems, Product and development bridge systems

In this role, you will join our dynamic Product & Development team, enabling safe, efficient, and compliant voyage planning through advanced tools and integrated digital services, ensuring vessels are fully prepared before departure.

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated professional to lead the development and strategy for voyage and passage planning systems. This role focuses on pre-voyage planning and enabling customers to demonstrate best-practice compliance, including chart room work for voyage changes. You will work closely with internal teams—especially those focused on real-time tactical execution, collision avoidance, and communication—as well as with customers to deliver integrated solutions that optimize safety, efficiency, and compliance. Some traveling must be expected.

What you will be doing
- Build product and development strategy and roadmaps for existing and future offerings of voyage planning systems and ECDIS as tools to help customers optimize voyage routes considering safety, efficiency, and compliance
- Connect Digital Ocean product group to offer additional service layers that enhance voyage planning and audit support for customers—such as weather routing, ocean data, efficiency predictors, and other regulatory information
- Develop products and solutions to support audits and port state inspections with automated compliance documentation
- Explore opportunities to deliver value-added services or partnerships, such as regulatory mapping, sailing directions, chart updates, and long-term navigation notices
We think you should have
- Higher technical education within the maritime area or equivalent
- Experience in voyage planning systems, ECDIS, and digital navigation tools
- Experience in product development
- Strong understanding of compliance requirements and maritime regulations
- Excellent communication skills in English, written and oral
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills and ability to work in a structured, independent, and proactive manner
