Operations Manager – Energy Projects

Global Customer Support, Energy is looking for a strategic and hands-on Operations Manager to lead and develop our project management team delivering energy projects to the global maritime fleet.
As Operations Manager, you will have overall responsibility for all Energy projects—ensuring governance, quality, and consistent execution across the portfolio. To stay close to operations and support your team effectively, you will also manage one key project annually during the initial period. This role combines people leadership, operational reporting and strategic development, driving continuous improvement of our execution model and collaborating across departments to secure quality, profitability, and timely delivery of projects worldwide. Energy is in strong growth and you will be part of the overall strategic journey joining our GCS Energy Management Team.

What You Will Be Doing
- Lead, inspire, and develop a team of Project Managers
- Ensure consistent, efficient, and high-quality project execution across the Energy project portfolio
- Set clear goals, prioritize effectively, and secure optimal portfolio management
- Drive improvements in governance models, processes, routines, and project execution methodology
- Contribute strategically to development of our aftermarket business
- Ensure competence development, capacity planning, and knowledge sharing within the team
- Support tender processes, estimates, and execution strategies in collaboration with business development and sales
- Monitor performance, report key metrics, and drive continuous improvement
- Build strong collaboration across departments and stakeholders in a matrix organization
- Lead one key project annually to stay close to operations, especially during the initial period
What We Are Looking For
- Higher education in engineering, technical disciplines, or relevant commercial fields
- Solid experience executing complex technical projects—preferably within maritime, energy, or industrial domains
- Previous experience as a Project Manager is required; experience leading project teams or technical teams is an advantage
- Strong commercial understanding and agile execution mindset
- Proactive, structured, and motivated by developing people and teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in English; Norwegian proficiency is an advantage
- Experience with ERP/CRM systems and digital tools is beneficial
