Electrical Engineer
Kongsberg Maritime is growing - and we want you to be part of our journey! We are now hiring an Electrical Engineer to join our Pod Propulsion team in Kristinehamn Sweden.
In the Electrical Engineer role, you will be part of a dynamic team working together to design, sell, manufacture, and deliver POD propulsion products with world-class performance. PODS are high-end, fully electric propulsion systems and is a vital part of our portfolio of environmentally friendly maritime propulsion solutions, providing high efficiency and low noise with outstanding manoeuvrability.
As an experienced engineer you will be ready to take ownership of specific electrical subsystems for the Pod product and work within a supportive and skilled team. We’re looking for an engineer with dedication and curiosity to help shape innovative designs for our Pod product and to deliver excellence to our customers.
You will work with ensuring that the product meets the design requirements and high standards for greener maritime transportation. Your main contribution will be in electrical engineering, with the chance to be involved in every stage - from initial concepts and drawings to final testing.

Qualifications and experience
We’re looking for someone with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Power Engineering or Electrical Engineering together with experience working with power engineering. Experience working with motor/drive systems and hands on experience from installations and maintenance safety requirements is a strong advantage. Industry experience and knowledge in marine propulsion, electronics, naval engineering, as well as quality control and working with certification bodies and international standards is a big plus. We’ll support you with hands-on challenges, mentoring, and a collaborative environment where your ideas are valued.
Since we work globally, strong English communication skills (spoken and written) are essential. Additional languages are a bonus.
