Software Engineer

To fulfil our challenging and ambitious goals we need to strengthen our competence and are therefore looking for a Software Engineer to join our team!

In this role you will join our division Global Customer Support where you will work with After Market Projects Seaborne which deliver Ship Automation to vessels worldwide. We upgrade or replace Integrated Automation & Control Systems either from Kongsberg Maritime or other makers. Our projects are exciting and hectic with unforeseen technical challenges, and therefore we need engineers with determination and ability to solve challenging tasks within short time frames. If you are a team player who gets motivated by technical challenges and can contribute to improvements, you might be the one we are looking for.


Key accountabilities

  • Complete software project activities within specified time- and cost limits
  • Accomplish work according to current production- and quality assurance routines
  • Support Field- and Project engineers at Sister Companies
  • Support Warranty and Service Department
  • Support the sales organization with project and technical expertise
  • Report administrative to Group Manager SW, functionally to Project managers


Qualifications and experience

  • Technical or maritime education, maritime experience is preferred
  • Representing the Kongsberg visions and values
  • Good communication skills in English and Norwegian
